Are you passionate about Indigenous environmental and geographic issues? Are you a community member, knowledge holder, or leader interested in collaborating on work that benefits your community? We are always looking for new people to join our collective and help us do good work in a good way.
There are a few ways in which you can join the Collaboratory:
- Join as a community member:
- Community members interested in Indigenous geographies/geographical thought/environmental issues are welcome to contact GIF to inquire about joining. Community lab members are an important part of the Collaboratory, and bring a wealth of expertise and perspectives that are honoured and valued.
Community affiliates do not have to be enrolled at a college or university to be members of the Collaboratory, and they can live anywhere in the world — we have, and have had, members in various parts of the world, ranging from across the North American continent to Europe and the Pacific.

- On occasion, we will advertise paid research positions in the Collaboratory as part of funded projects. When these positions are available, we will advertise them on our website, via social media, and via various e-mail lists. Specific duties and instructions for applications will also be listed.
Please e-mail us at director@geographicindigenousfutures.ca if you are interested in learning more about joining — we’d be happy to talk to you!
